It’s snowing. It has snowed all night. Everything is white. All the shabby corners look wonderful. No dirt to be seen. It’s so magical, I don’t want to touch it and wish everyone would freeze to leave it all just as white and untouched as it is.
I had to ruin some of the white covers myself – because not everyone freezes and kids MUST play in the snow – so I ventured out only to find that the paper would not be delivered to the shops and that in fact a lot does freeze!
Thanks to all the snow I welcomed the opportunity to throw on just about anything to keep warm and found there is something very lovable about snow: You can wear what you want. The rule to have a matching hat. Void. The rule to always take a bag with your life in it. Void (Because who can do with a bag when both hands are needed to build snowmen and -ladies?). The rule to keep your posture and show off the shoes effortlessly. Void (I did slip over, yes). So, snow means not to worry about anything but fun. Make snow angels and run and throw snow balls and behave like you were 5 again (yes, I grew up with annual snow falls). And keep warm to enjoy it most. Ski Pants are back in fashion as of now I say!
We do love snow days every now and then don’t we?
