dilemma #3. odd socks.

Are you one of those who always wears matching socks which come out of a neatly sorted drawer at the bottom of your built-in wardrobe? My friend Claire is, she always wears matching socks and never looses the other one between wearing and washing. I envy her deeply for that. I own probably 6 pairs of socks, if that. That’s not even enough to get through one week so I have to borrow the 7th pair of my son who has the same size as me. Of these 6 pairs only 3 are still always complete and the other 3 are rotating but there are never two the same at the same time in my, of course ,otherwise well sorted drawer. Luckily I don’t actually wear socks very often which has led to my dilemma of never having socks available in the first place,  I guess. It doesn’t stop there though, I actually stick two different socks on and go anywhere I have to with it. I even go work or out if I have to wearing odd socks! At an age – no let’s stop here actually…

I switch off my style conscious before the socks!

Not that anyone knows about it (well, you do now) as I have usually only socks on in boots or maybe ankle boots and my new Nike hightop trainers, so they would be covered. The point is, I switch off my style conscious before the socks! I hate men who wear tennis socks or any “wrong” socks but do the worst sock sin myself. This must change as of right now. Unfortunately I don’t seem to find out about Claire’s secret as to how exactly she manages it, maybe she’s got a schedule somewhere and keeps track of which socks are washed, in the process of being washed or something similar. So, this year, 2010, not only a new decade begins but also great expectations with it, for me at least.

Thou shalt always wear matching socks and keep matching pairs in a well sorted drawer.
